I recently had the chance to travel to the amazing islands of Hawaii. I’m not sure if you’d consider this a real “back packing trip”, but it did consist of us dragging our backpacks from airport to airport and hopping from a hostel to another. This was our first “unplanned” trip, if you want to call it. My sister and I arrived in Hawaii and had a bucket list, that’s it. We basically planned what we we’re going to do on a day to day basis. I wanted to chat about my trip with you in hopes that it will...

“Fad diets” are usually what people strive for when they are looking to lose weight quickly. However, most results are not sustainable long term. Most of these diets can present serious health risks because the majority fail to meet nutritional recommendations.

Many fad diets have low calorie intake and can result in quick weight loss – which is mostly lost in water weight and lean muscle mass, not fat. These types of diets are something I hear about on a daily and thought I’d share some of the thing...

The struggle is real

Believe me – the struggle can be real when it comes to loving your body. We all have similar struggles...

A lot of people struggle to find a fitness routine that they like and one they can stick to. It took me about a year to figure out which type of exercises worked best for me and my schedule.

Here's a few questions I've had regarding my fitness routine. I hope this can give you some ideas for your own exercise regime!

How many times do I exercise per week?

I like to exercise 3-4x per week and that is sufficient for me. I used to go to the gym almost every day (6-7x per week) but couldn’t fit that into...

On my last blog I talked about meal prep ideas for back to school. Today, I'm going to tell you all about my motivations... because let’s face it we all need a little motivation when this time of year comes around. So here’s a few things that keep me sane as we stroll into the fall season.

Ah yes! As much as it can be hard to get back to it, there’s no better feeling than the one you get after a good sweat sesh. For me, fitness is a way to relieve stress. I feel so good after a workout, especia...
